Instead, Taco Bell said it'll be adding two new items.
The $5 Grande Nachos Box -- which layers beef, refried beans, cheese sauce, three-cheese blend, pico de gallo, guacamole and reduced-fat sour cream on top of a bed of tortilla chips -- comes with a medium drink and is returning for a limited time. Also, a $1 Beef Burrito will become a permanent addition to the Cravings Value Menu.

I think the price of production of these sandwiches were so high, which is why the price hovered around $10. McDonalds first swapped out the bun, then got rid of the bacon and flattened out the chicken.

I guess corporate learned that McDonalds is viewed as a trash, cheap fast food place to the public so that is what they do now. The ironic thing is that Five Guys is the one who sells "premium" burgers but they are of the same quality of the old gourmet burgers that McDonalds sold (and at a cheaper price!).
