This last was particularly maddening. I asked them, "Subway stopped making them? All subways?" and they said, "Uh, yeah."

There was a popular video on youtube at one time of a lady getting angry that Subway didn't have any Meatball Marinara, and she was mocked online, but she was 100% correct. If you don't have it available, then you can't advertise it on your menu! Someone could (should) sue them for bait and switch in small claims court. Subway just needs to be truthful and advertise it as limited availability.
