There are 3 people in my house and we all drink a lot of coffee but hate making it. We decided to buy a 30 cup coffee urn so now we just make it every other day and microwave to reheat. It's nice not having to buy filters and not having to use those tiny scoops. 2 cups of grounds is enough for 30 cups. I am worried that coffee snobs will look down on me if they find out.

Nothing wrong with an urn but microwaving cold coffee is pretty vile.

I drink it iced with cream, its fine for me. Only annoying thing is its too big to fit under the faucet. I'm going to get a hose attachment for the sink that will reach over to fill it up.

Yes, coffee urn and microwave is "wrong" for coffeesnobberry.

Look at a Toddy; use the urn as a hot water dispenser.

Might as well drink instant.

do you have a blender that you liquefy your food with so you don't have to chew either?

I bought a case of Maxwell House online that was near its expiration date, they were like $1.50 a brick. Seems fine.

that coffee pot is meant to serve crowds of 10 or more people and is specifically prohibited under covid-19 mitigation regulations

I don't generally reheat it, I mostly drink iced coffee.

I'm here for the food.

When coffee is brewed with heat it becomes more acidic over time, that's why cold brew coffee is ok to drink hours later but not hot coffee. This is what my dentist told me, so it's pretty damn bad for your teeth. Plus it IS vile to reheat. Don't know how anyone is so lazy they can't make a couple of pots of coffee a day... maybe you don't deserve teeth.

Your dentist is a dumbfuck and he has misinformed you anon. It's only the perceived level of acid that changes, not the actual ph. It's similar to how ice cream tastes sweeter when it's warm than cold yet the sugar content doesn't change.

Some people have a higher tolerance for sour and bitter flavors than others.
