>hurr durr muh gravy makes the fries soggy
Let's clear something up for all the fags who don't get it. The kind of fries used to make poutine are not crispy. Ever. They come out of the oil (that hasn't been changed for weeks) brown, greasy, soft and soggy. That's how they're supposed to be, and that makes them perfect for the purpose of the dish. Nobody outside of Quebec had an actual poutine. Everyone else in Canada use crisp, golden fries for their shitty attempt at poutine, and they're fucking retarded for it. They made it their national dish, yet they don't even know how to make it properly.

Pretty much the same dude. We're not that different. You guys have a lot more varieties of the greasiest fast food, that's about it. Naturally you have more densely populated cities, so you may have more authentic "international" food varieties per capita.

Absolutely disgusting and the most unhealthy way to fry things. Unless you go for gutter oil, but considering current immigration trends you'll get there yet.

It'll probably be a couple of years before we have Covid muscled down, and the economic and sociological impact will be generational you will never experience a quality of life comparable to what you enjoyed before 2020.

Indian food is literally trash in any country and requires the lowest form of brainless culinary skills to prepare. Not to mention it literally tastes like trash so much that you can feel the aids and hepatitis overwhelm you as your chewing in disgust.

To answer your question, try the rasputine or substitute onion rings for fries, but with extra cheese. You only risk aids or hep if it’s a poojeet serving you.

This

East cost = sea food, very similar to the north eastern seaboard of the US.

Quebec really does have better poutine. They use better gravy (typically a mixture of beef and chicken) and the cheese curds are NOT TO BE REFRIGERATED. that is correct. they must be warm and squeaky to get the right texture.

Ontario = multicultural food. Ottawa and Toronto you can basically get whatever you want and there is a good version of everything.

Saskabutt and Manertobers....... well they're nice people....

Alberta = Steak and other meat products. They typically back 40%+ of the this entire country's meat. They also have a fuck ton of great beers

BC = Asian food. Yep, best asian food i've ever had was in Vancouver... not surprising the city is two colours. white and yellow.

What you can't expect? top notch mexican food. Sure i've had great mexican food in Canada, but nothing even close to what you can get in Mexico or Texas for that matter.

Manitoba has pickerel and Saskatchewan has a lot of potato dishes, very Eastern European inspired.

The four elements of Canadian cuisine are Timbits, Kraft Dinner, poutine, and Molson. All Canadian cuisine is composed of these ingredients in different combinations.

Don't except as much decadence and variety of fast food chains. In general you can expect mostly the same "normal" food as the US but less exagerated and healthier. Smaller portion size too. What you really want to try is any locally famous dish. Jewish bagels in Montreal are the best I've ever had, their smoked meat sandwiched are top notch too

Honestly, try a Canadian A&W. Far superior to the American franchise, even Americans who've tried it will tell you the same.
Donairs are good, but make sure you get the kind with the sweet garlic based donair sauce, not that awful yogurt/mayo sauce.
Poutine is okay, I guess, but the Quebecois hype it up way too much.
On the coasts, the seafood is usually pretty good, but generally the same shot you can get on any coast. Try rollmops if you get the chance.
