Chicken and dumplings soup. It was only served about 6 times a year. I think it was the only thing the cafeteria still made themselves. They also had toasted cheese sandwiches. They weren't grilled, but baked in those big warmer ovens. This was in the mid 1990's.

pizza day was always pretty lackluster for me, I'd eat it but I'd always prefer meat. But most of the white kids I knew loved pizza.

I'm 27 and from Arizona. In 7th grade I ate french fries and mozzarella sticks and chicken nuggets. But then we passed the anti-fat-mexican law and they took away all the good food. My favorite food in high school was probably the shitty chicken alfredo. The grease actually separated from the sauce but it was ok and extremely salty.
