I'm drunk and was making grilled cheese and I went to piss and left the grilled cheese on too long and it got burnt. One side is just black. So I was like fuck it. And ate it anyway and it wasn't too bad. It got me thinking. Burnt is a flavour. There's nothing quite like it.

yes, who knew carcinogens could be so delicious?

Being drunk makes food taste better, your sandwich was shit, you could and should have removed the sandwich from the heat while you took a piss, if it burned it would have finished cooking with the heat of the pan anyways moving on

one time I was absolutely catastrophically drunk and I went to make a pot of mac and cheese

I fell asleep with the bare pot on the burner

the non-stick coating vaporized but managed to then adhere to the pot lid
so now I have a non-stick pot lid
kind of useless but pretty based none the less

I hope you threw out the pot, anon. Non-stick coatings are super carcinogenic when they degrade.

Have you ever heard of blackened catfish?

I just started slamming some cold ones and boilermakers and made a dried ham and apple stock with turmeric, saffron, and ginger for my vietnamese noodles.

You can't eat enough burned food to actually increase your risk of cancer. Unless you isolate the carcinogens and consume them directly in large amounts, you're better off worrying about obesity, pollution, skin damage from too much sun, etc.

Why next you'll be setting your marshmallows completely on fire instead of delicately toasting them to a lovely golden brown
