Did I get jewed, or is it worth it.

Smoking pork shoulder soon and I felt like I needed a good thermometer. But damn, $80 bucks for something that I was expecting to buy at Safeway for a dime.

Not even my purchase, by my family bought me a Ming Sai knife. It's trash steel. Regardless of rockwell hardness I can sharpen it with my Arkansas stones and Japanese whetstones. This fucking thing is just putty shaped like a blade.I'd never tell them I don't love it, but it's a piece of shit and I'd be better off with a broken rock.

Have one I got off amazon for 12$ for a year and it works great. Also looks almost exactly the same as that one.

I buy them off Amazon as well and have one for 20 bucks that's works great. Even has a little chart for meat temp reminders printed on it. It's nice. However, this is my second one as the bracket for the battery broke in the first one because my son threw it around the kitchen. Little bastard.

I bought one of these things years ago, and have never regretted it. Bought them as gifts for family, never heard complaints. Wipe it down each time, and it'll last you forever.
