Ten years ago I didn't even think about race.
But since it's constantly being shoved in my face by mass- and social media and I'm usually made out to be the bad guy simply for being white I am thinking about it a lot now.
I'm not a racist in the sense that I hate any races, but I'm definitely more defense about my own race now, simply because I was forced into a defensive position. And I keep seeing blatant lies about race that make me frustrated, such as the whole "black men are more likely to be killed by cops" thing recently. There are statistics that clearly show this is untrue, but you're called a nazi for even knowing about them.

Their meat preparation and cooking method is by far the best thing about Mexican cooking. So for me, it's Al Pastor on a handmade corn tortilla with white onions and cilantro. Done right, it doesn't even need salsa, although a roasted chipotle salsa is never a bad idea.

I make my own with beer and V8 low sodium spicy (no MSG), and lime, and salsa I blend to a juice.
