I prefer peanuts.
Pistachios are more common where I live, in particular salted as a snack, but they can be hard to open and they're not as flavourful as peanuts

You cant freeze peanut shells well with a stick of ice and put them in your rectum, but pistachios you can and just rinse and reuse.

Pistachios need long, hot summers and cool winters and require lots of water, throughout. In the U.S., California is the only state that grows commercial pistachios (at least, in any significant quantity). California's been experiencing drought for... seems like a long time, now, and the crops may have been affected by all the forest fires. The only other notable countries growing pistachios are Iran and Turkey, too.

pistachio fags are usually cringelords who over hype them as if theyre some sort of patrician for liking them. they're not bad but any means but not worth going out of your way for.

peanuts however are humble, tasty, plentiful, and you're 1000x less likely to find a rotten abomination while snacking on them. peanut abominations actually work out in your favor as you'll find ones with 3 or more nuts in a pod.

nothing is much better than having a cold budweiser or miller in your sunroom and enjoying a bowl full of peanuts.

California is the way it is because in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s we destroyed all of the rivers, the water table, and most of the lakes by building a bunch of stupid fucking dams in the north.
Because we cut off the water flow to Central America, many rivers that only flowed seasonally (akin to Australia) were completely wiped out, and the resulting drop in the water levels in the environment resulted in a temperature increase. The temperature increase led to higher air pressures in the area, effectively lowering the chances any rain will ever make it into the area.

When people talk about “global warming” and how it has to do with “greenhouse gases”, what they’re too stupid to say is “human beings cut down fuckhuge forests and turned them into desserts”.

Pistachios are just objectively the best nut, it's not even a contest. Cashews are great too, and peanuts are just okay. Dry roasted peanuts are far better than salted.
