Now the dust has settled, is raclette a meme?

>> No.14254191

yes but a good meme

>> No.14254204

does it retain any of its taste when melted? even very strong tasting cheeses like parm and sharp cheddar basically lose all their flavor once melted.

>> No.14254261

>>14254187
no it's excellent why would it be a meme? Is it because americans ruined melted cheese by putting it everywhere?

Raclette is as old as the hills. I had it 20 years ago visiting a Swiss friend, back then it was in literally every ski town and also the airport. I think some bars would have it too.
Was it a meme on instagram recently or something?

It's fine anyway, literally just grilled cheese on potato maybe with some spices.

A lot of posters on ck and pol make fun of Americans for covering their food in cheese but the French are Just as gross it seems.

Raclette on grill is so fucking good, but it's a pain if you want a lot of ingredients. I live alone now and the last time I ate some was 4 years ago.
