Dominoes is the hipster, little-known chain in Japan.
Pizza Hut's probably the most well known, but they have other chains that taste better like Chicago Delita.
Either way, their pizzas are fucking retardedly expensive. Every pizza place charges $36 a pop for what's effectively a Medium sized pizza.

First person to open up a place that does $5 large pizzas will easily dominate the market.

The Japanese idea of cheese is very odd, it's like the same fakey cheese flavor in a ton of products.

asians are widely lactose intolerant

the main reason pizza is a big thing in america is not because muh obesity but because white people aren't effected by a 50% cheese based dish

Some weeb made a journey to Japan to find out the backstory to this promotion and interview this guy - he found out he had retired some years later from the Japan offices. His documentary style video was pretty good and had a touch of sadness to it.

there are a ton of Koreatown restaurants in Dallas that serve cheese-based entrees sort of as a drunk food, this is just one:
“ Ddong Ggo’s house specialty is a dish called Cheese Island ($25). It’s a large cast-iron skillet with dividers running through the middle, filled entirely with shredded white cheese. The skillet is set atop of a burner on the diner's table, so the cheese begins melting within moments. The cheese is the ocean: Cheese Island is the pile of fried chicken wings and fries stacked like Jenga blocks on top.”

You'd have to eat a lot of cheese to be affected by lactose intolerance. Most lactose intolerant people can still handle a small amount, and they'd have to eat like a pound of mozzarella to be affected by it.
