I don't know where You've seen so much praise for them. They're a common theater snack where I live, and that's about it. They have a mild flavor and they're chewy so they're not really offensive to anyone, and silly people like to use them as straws, but they're not especially noteworthy otherwise.

Ate the whole jar by the spoonful in two days. Probably doesn't sound very impressive to some of the fatties here, but it was a really bad idea for me. I've also eaten jars of peanut butter the same way over inappropriately short spans of time.
