Do you toast hot dog buns? I like the warm buns professional dog spots serve, but I don't know how to steam at home, though I do have different toasters

just microwave it for a bit.

Nothing wrong with toasted buns IMO
But steaming them is pretty simple if you get a pot and put a steamer basket in
Just heat the water, put the bun in, cover and open it back up in like 30 seconds or so

I like them toasty enough for a slight crunch but not so toasty that it breaks in half when you fold it round the dog

I’m a bong and I don’t toast but I DO butter them. Rolls for hamburgers as well. AND peanut butter with jam sandwiches.

It all gets butter. I don’t understand you yanks going to all the trouble of toppings on these things but then leaving some dry arse bread underneath. Don’t @ me.

American bread is already moist, no butter needed.

just wrap in foil and heat in 325F oven for about 5-7 min; not worth it if only cooking one, in which case microwave is fine

Yes Nigel, we all know bongs butter all their bread, and try to make sandwiches out of everything. Those are like the two main facts about your country.
