Are potatoes based?

>> No.14200785

the pH of a potato is approximately 5.4 to 5.9, making it acidic rather than based.

I never knew this. I always thought potatoes and vegetables in general leaned more towards the alkaline side.

i just ate 5 potatoes and feel absolutely fantastic, thank you very much. cut them in half and baked them for...quite a long time actually. so soft and creamy on the inside. very nice thread indeed.

>Are potatoes based?
why?

Why did you post this thread? to ask a stupid question with a buzzword? to start a flame war?

Why not ask a question that matters?

like are potatoes nutritious? (yes).
Are potaoes tasty? (when prepared properly, yes).
Are there different types of potatoes? yes (but please google that).
how long can you store potatoes? (depends on how they are stored).
What are some good recipes (also ask google).

but asking if they are "based"? that's a stupid question.

brehs i did some extra research with shocking results
it turns out that virtually all food has a pH >7, making it not based

it seems that corn, egg whites and Camembert are the only based foods
