I got the fuck out of Fairfield County as soon as I could. It's fucking awful between the snooty rich people in the towns, the various urban hellscapes spreading into their neighboring towns, the absolute WORST stretch of interstate in the country, the corrupt and inept politicians at every level of government, the general lack of jobs, and the fact that pretty much everyone I grew up with got the fuck out of there as well.

The pizza is admittedly fantastic and I miss it (shoutout to Colony Pizza in Stamford), but that's a tradeoff I'm willing to make.

I wonder how long they'll actually stay in that strip mall. At least two restaurants I know of - Mount Everest Spice and the fish and chips shop - have shut down there in the past couple of years.

I never understood it either, my gf's elderly mother insisted on eating at the fucking Olive Garden across the street from Westfarms instead of just going down the street for a Pepe's pizza. Sad shit.
