You could make a strong case for that honestly. They fly under the radar but they're really good

Tbh they're pretty, they come in a lot of different colors and textures but they're very bland. I'd rather just way a Granny Smith or honey crisp

The best a pear gets is soft and mealy. I like pears, but comparing any pear to say a SE Asian mango is like comparing a jack in the box taco to a porterhouse steak.

Anjou master race.
Comice and Bartlett are okay too.

My family gets nelis pears every year around xmas, probably the only pears ill ever eat.

The only other experience ive had with pears is ones theyve given at summer school. Needlessly said, they were shit and hard as rocks. Some kid left a dent in a table with one

Wrong kind of pear to serve, probably bought cheaply since those are the kind you store for the winter until they become soft

I've never had a pear and want to buy some to try. If honeycrisp is my favorite apple, what kind of pear would I like?

Try a Concorde. Most crisp pears aren't as sweet as their softer counterparts but Concorde is a rare exception. If you can't find that, grab two Bosc pears. Eat one immediately and depending upon softness/sweetness and your preferences, try the next one 2-3 days later.
