Depends on what you want and what you like. Gordon's is about 14 bucks in the liquor store I go to, for gin. E&J XO is about 16 bucks, and it's a good brandy. I can get Canadian Club 100% Rye for about the same price for an alright rye whiskey. For rum, J. Wray & Nephew makes a pretty decent rum for around the same price.

This is pretty good rum, I've seen it on sale for $18. Aside from whiskey you can find a really solid bottle of almost any liquor for ~$20.

The Kroger up the street has been running a deal where you get these 750ml for $8 but you buy 2 and it takes $5 off so you get 2 for $13. They have a digital coupon on the app right now that takes $2 off each bottle. So you can get 2 bottles for under $8. Smooth but weak. It takes half a bottle to feel good.

I know. I do. But this shit has something about it vs every other budget vodka I can find that's 40% that requires more. I have to drink close 3/4 vs 1/2 of almost all other budget vodka. It's not something you're likely to try but if you did you'd see. It's smooth and cheap. It just doesn't feel like hits as hard.
