I don't really think it's inherently bad for you, but one downside I've noticed with ice water is that it slows down how fast you can drink it because it starts to get uncomfortable if you have too much. Normally when I'm thirsty I'll chug a quart of water at once but I can't do that with ice water because it starts to feel uncomfortable. So it could slightly contribute to dehydration if it's too cold and slowing down how much you drink.

Nah my teeth are fine, I never have an issue with that. But too much ice water makes it feel like my throat/esophagus is cramping. I've noticed that since I've stopped drinking ice water that I'm drinking more of it and my lips don't seem as dry anymore. The best temperature seems to be around 60F because it's cool enough to still be refreshing but not cold enough that you can't chug it if you're really thirsty.

I do the same with about a full liter. Ends up being more convenient because you just get fully hydrated twice a day and your body seems to get rid of the water faster compared to people trying to sip an even amount throughout the entire day.
