unironically end up drinking this shit all the time because it's the only 6.0% beer you can reliably find anywhere in the US and often the strongest thing a given store has, and i'm a drunk retard. so I guess this is my favorite beer. the taste is bland though, but not offensive.

I actually don't even know anymore. I used to think it was any of the standard 5%ish continental lagers -- Kronenbourg, Stella Artois, Becks, etc -- but they don't really do it for me anymore. There's something mysterious and savoury about the taste of Tyskie that I like, but it's not the most pleasant beer overall.
I guess I like weissbiers at the moment, but not in the way that I used to love lager.
Maybe Pilsner Urquell? Or that one you get from Aldi, Rheinbacher Pilsner I think it's called.

That’s a dark ale (what is called an ‘old’ style in Australia). Just finished drinking that and have moved on to a ruby porter. I like to use Belgian candi sugar to boost alcohol, so my average beer comes in at about 7%.
I recently made a batch of ‘Bill F Murray malt liquor’ using a premade wort and it turned out amazingly well. I occasionally buy a slab of beer to cover any lulls in production, but generally after peak brewing seasons (autumn and spring) I have 210-250 750ml bottles of beer. Add to this my wine, hard cider and spirits, and I’m rarely sober two days running.
Beer is actually one of the hardest things to make, you’re right in that regard (especially compared to wine, which is retardedly easy). But it’s a fun hobby, and frankly, fuck the revenuers.

Turmbräu is better and still much cheaper. Made some hobo beer test with friends and Turmbräu is always in the top 10 from more than 30 beers (highest place was 4), which is kinda impressing for a 29 cent beer.
5.0 just lives from its reputation as an insider tip, while its actually not even that good.

I dont think its allergy, though maybe that is true, just a different point, but many asians have low levels of whatever clears out the alcohol metabolites from your body. the metabolites are what make you feel like shit, and high levels correspond with that bright red blushing of the face you'll sometimes see on people that are wasted
