Texan here.

Everything looks good here. Let it simmer for a while and serve on Fritos.

I can't eat beans any more, but I do prefer chili with them.

Chili with beans is for people skimping on meat/trying to cut costs

I don’t give a shit if my chili is “authentic” or not. I’ll put tomatoes, corn, chicken, gamer girl poop, or whatever I want in it. I would never, EVER add beans though. Why the fuck would I add something that gives it a shittier texture while also weakening the overall flavor? Beans are and have always been a FILLER INGREDIENT used specifically for poorshits to stretch a pot to feed more mouths. I don’t know how people can convince themselves that beans actually add anything to chili. I guess when you grow up eating poor peoples chili you get used to the taste of poverty stew.

You're dumb. Beans add the bean flavor. Makes the whole dish more complex to a refined palette. Tastelet.

Beans are, and have always been, poorfag fare.
Hearty and filling, yes.
But the poorfag has always supp'd on bean.
Sell your computer, buy better beef.

They don’t add flavor, retard. What do beans taste like? That’s right, nothing. They are a filler.

I vastly prefer it with beans.
Adds depth imo
Also rounds it out nutritionally so it makes a better one-bowl meal.

Why?

>> No.14117240

I've been a bean man ever since I started making chili something like 6 years ago, but I very recently started making Texas chili, and I've got to say, it's far superior. It's just got so much more flavour and character. Bean chili is good, but it tends to become more of a mishmash of flavours, while the "meat and chilis" version has a really intense taste of meat and chilis.

It's certainly nothing to be proud of but its something to know. If freindly with the stewardeses they'll give you free beers to take off the plane, just don't mention it or drink them in the airport.

Why bother with raisins when pasillas already serve that purpose?
