When I worked the hotel bar, I used to be drunk pretty much as soon as the shift started until it ended some 12-14 hours later. I always wondered if people knew, but then they awarded me the Employee of the Quarter and like 300 extra dollars or whatever.
Pretty sick place to work, but the GM was a faggot and he refused to fix the place up or hire additional workers.

Yea that won’t happen in big chains. Local spots are where it’s at. Especially if you know the guy/girl. Three of us once drank $250 worth of liquor once and ate 45+ wings and only paid about $50 bucks because the bartenders wife had a successful surgery of some sort a few days before and was in such a happy mood. I don't think it's hygienic to have a woman sit on a food preparation area. Having the vulva within an inch of that surface is horrendous.

The table top is being infused with her genital essence. Any semen in her vagina could leak onto the table and also vaginal mucus and fluids. It's worse than having a foot long poisonous toad hopping around the kitchen spreading it's toxins.

Lmao I just got let go from Jimmy John's not too long ago. I was a driver. All the other drivers were constantly taking time off and once I covered one of them they all began to ask if I could cover. I covered a lot of shifts and never took a day off for about 4 months.

One day my band practice went a little late and I was drunk. I took a day off and I got a write up. Fought the write up and got fired. I have a couple from over the years

>Four top is eating at their table, as they should be
>They're sitting next to a window about a foot off the ground
>Apparently at some point the mom in the family saw a fly on the window and decided to KICK it in order to kill it
>The window predictably breaks
>They leave, we now have a broken window, the manager decided to not try and collect information for them to pay for it since by the looks of them there was no fucking way they were going to do that
>And that's how we got a broken window

There was a lady who was very strange. She always wore a hat (hat ladies are usually nuts, especially if they have a wide brim) and she would speak in a very wistful, kind of distracted sort of way. She would look at you as if she were looking right through you like a thousand-yard stare. She would always order the same thing but couldn't remember what it was even though she came in very regularly. Trying to have a conversation with her was like driving through a neighborhood and constantly running into dead ends. Any time you would to engage her about whatever insane shit she was rambling on about she would look at you and say, "What?" as if you were the idiot for asking questions or something. A few stories about her are:

>She's ordering at the counter, I'm putting in all her stuff
>She orders fries
>I ask her regular or large
>She repeats, "I'd like to order fries"
>I say, yes, would you like regular or large
>She says, "Yes."

That's all I can remember right now and she hasn't come back in a while but if she does I'm pawning her off on a coworker ASAP

That was the highlight of my burger career. That, and the time I turned up for work so blind drunk that I couldn't stand up and got sent home. Being a teenager was kinda fun.

I managed a Domino's in my mid-20's but that was pretty uneventful unfortunately, apart from that one time one of my drivers got kidnapped by a woman fleeing her own kidnapper.

I worked at a Dunkin Donuts in high school. We would serve hash browns, and they were these little potato coins in groups of six.
>woman orders six hashbrowns
>She's gotten four drinks and a couple sandwiches, so I don't question the amount
>"$x.xx? Isn't that a lot for the hashbrowns?"
>oh, did you want one order of six hashbrowns or six orders?
>no, I wanted six orders, that just seems like a lot
>she gets her order
>"wtf I didn't order this many hashbowns"
she started kicking up shit and actually ended up contacting corporate because we were trying to steal from her. one of my two writeups in my time there, and I didn't deserve either.
There was also one woman who would come by between one and three times a day to order a medium with inhuman amounts of sugar and cream. I don't remember the amount anymore, but I do remember the cream and sugar was literally over half the cup. She kept asking to speak to my manager and, knowing the clientele, I figured she was just complaining about me to try to get free shit. Turns out, she was just trying to fuck him/ get a job.

>what was the third best place
at the time it was C. 1880 we were across from chez jacques south of the third ward. we were listed after sanford and I think either odd duck or ardent. However milwaukee doesnt know a good thing when its got one cause they both closed and I think braise is also barely floating in that area while shit like hollander and benelux thrive which is also ironic cause the owner and head chef is now the head of that group restaurants now.

I no longer live there but last time I visited I think rankings would more likely be:
1.) Sanford
2.) Ardent
3.) Third Coast provisions
I personally have a soft spot for calderone club as well but thats cause I know Gino and he makes some great fucking gnocchi

but honestly you could probably insert a bartolotta restaurant or whatever you like into third place. Sanford really is an amazing restaurant tho and ardent is also really good

Oof, reminds me of the one big spill I've had in my career. It was coconut curry sauce. I had the half hotel pan on a shelf with maybe 25% of it sticking out. I was trying to make room for it on a higher shelf when a dressing bottle I was holding by the lid fell out of my hand, clipped the pan and flung the sauce all over me and the walk-in. Luckily we were dead that day so I had all the time in the world to clean it up.
