What happened? Where did they all go bros? They were clearly superior to subway, especially with that prime rib peppercorn sub. I miss my fav sub place :/ what was your favorite menu item??

People are cheap disgusting slobs with no taste. They all went to subway for $5 footlongs and Quiznos got shit.
That's the only reason. Quiznos was always more expensive and it fucked them. It was superior in every way but people would rather save $5 and eat shit tier crap.

Quiznos was legit the best chain sandwich place, especially that prime rib Peppercorn, I would always ask for extra sauce. Then the 2007 recession happened and they started to downgrade the quality on all their items while raising the price. Funny fact, I used to work next to the building their HQ was based in Denver and they built a special store right outside of it with the most retarded design ever and it got shut down a few years after it opened

What is it with California superiority? If it was truly amazing it would be nationwide. I always hear about how amazing In-n-out is from Californians and people that had it when they were 10. When I had it it was alright, not amazing not better than any other chain.
I am sure there are other examples of this not just these 2 but it always seems when it comes to California what they have is 11/10 and what everyone else has is trash.

>Imagine living in a flyover state

Imagine living in a die-fag state; thinking bad things about the productive and uncorrupt areas of the country. Smugly unaware of the revolution brewing, saying something akin to "let them eat cake" without considering it possible, that you and your ilk will soon be thrown on a pile and burned during the revolution.

Better keep your fingers cross there are no corona riots. It will be difficult to fly over those. Insert bourgeois laughter.

California is a huge place, like 1 in 6 Americans is a Californian. Maybe the market is so big they don't need to open up shop thousands of miles away from their headquarters? Regional chains are the best chains because the quality control and consistency can be maintained.

>> No.14114630

>>14112235
Pretty much this. Quiznos employed a business model with Franchise owners that in order to be a Quiznos franchise you had to pay a large annual/monthly franchising fee and on top of that, you were forced to source your ingredients from their specific suppliers to "ensure consistency and quality". They then had the bright idea to increase the prices of raw ingredients across the board for their franchisees basically double dipping between franchise costs and ingredient costs and raking in the profit from both ends. This was why their subs typically cost more than any other mass chain was that in order to break even, they had to sell at a higher price point than places like subway. That and their gimmick about toasting subs was quickly copied by everyone else and they lost that niche/novelty. Couple that with shitty franchise support and subpar ingredient sourcing and it all just bled the franchises to death.

More like 1 in rounded 10 is Californian. I get that regional chains are generally better, I grew up in NEPA and no pizza will ever compare to Grottos or L'Oven. Just don't try and say this is better than [national chain] but it's only available in x. If there is a better chain relevant to topic and is available to everyone fine. But I can say Philly Subs or Dagwoods is better than Qs and it means nothing to the population of /ck/.
