Does anybody unironically use propane for cooking?

>> No.14091234

>>14091218
Yes? Propane grills may have a higher starting cost but they're overall less wasteful in the long-term, can be used in inclement weather, and they're arguably safer for your health.

You can't burn meat on a propane grill? The risk from that is negligible, if there's actually any at all. People overreacted to learning there's acrylamide in grilled/browned foods but there's not actually enough to cause a problem. And unless you're directly eating big chunks of charcoal that's most likely not a problem either.

>and they're arguably safer for your health.
And you're arguably talking out of your sweet, tight ass. Charcoal can also be used in inclement weather.

It's definitely more convenient and maybe less wasteful overall, but cooking over actual burning coal/wood is an overall better experience. If you wanna gas cook a steak, you might as well do it on a frying pan and oven indoors.

Also no real man actually gives a shit how somebody else grills their meat. Charcoal's good, propane's, good. Anybody that's trying to gatekeep cooking is a fucking roach. You do you as long as you do it well.

My friend also has a blue rhino "razor" flat top propane grill and that thing is fucking convenient when camping as well

Propane and other gases have their place when adapting a kitchen appliance for the outdoors

Any application in which the food is directly heated or cooked using a propane flame, is wildly unbased and disgusting. Gas flames directly applied to food is only palatable to those who don't know better
