Can we get a pantry thread going? I have a good amount of items in my pantry that I would like to do something with as I'm moving soon and the less I have to lug with me the better. I feel like the worse thing is the cans, so I got alot of pumpkin and some green beans

Your veggies are great except for the potatoes. Canned potatoes have always been kinda gross so they're not that great to have, but you can definitely use them up in a stew or soup and they won't be the worst thing ever.
I always have tomato paste/canned tomatoes for sauces and sometimes curry. Coconut milk I keep for curries mainly. Sometimes I'll keep some canned veggies but usually I'll get them if I see them on sale since I can only use them in limited things. Canned beans are great if you love beans but you're intimated to prepping dry beans.

Oh I should add since you mentioned the abundance of canned pumpkin, besides pies they're really a good use for most sweets. Rolled cakes, bread, cookies, pancakes, muffins, coffee and alcohol based drinks, the list is endless if you put your mind to it with what you have, or if you use trusty Google lmao.

Thanks, these mixed veggies are kind of useless as they have potatoes in them for some reason so I have to pick those out as it doesn't go well with the veggies imo. I actually don't mind those canned potatoes but I do have fresh ones as well. I use make pasta sauce with the tomatoes, I do have diced tomatoes but I usually don't put that in sause. I make alot of curry but I never used the coconut milk in theres I might have to next time. The canned beans usually don't last long lol but I also do have alot of flour so maybe I'll have to start using that for baked goods with the pumpkin

And some more.
Mostly that Antichrist Chicken in a Can. And dried beans. Some canned veggies so I don't get scurry like some degenerate English pirate.

The flash on my camera blows btw.

Most of their stuff is pretty good. But that Butter flavor pancake syrup is disgusting.
I had to put on that hazmat suit and make a Mrs.Butterworth run. Totally worth it.

Pumpkin bread is toppest tier.
I always slice it and toast it in either my toaster or toaster oven until it gets a slight golden brown. It's fabulous.

Yeah could while wheat flour make good pumpkin bread? I tried another recipe with that type of flour instead of all purpose and it was ok at best, atleast that would cover the pumpkin cans and abundance of flour

What about pasta, tomato soup/diced tomatoes and vegetable/beef broth. Anyone know what kind of simple things I can make with that?

Get a container with a tight fitting lid for your flour and stick it in the freezer. You most likely have weevils living in that flour sack if it's been sitting in your pantry like that...

Beans, rice, 3 types of flour, sugar, coffee, creamer, 3 types of oil, cereals, grits, popcorn, raisins, canned fruit, canned chili, chips, crackers, deenz, bouillon, salsas, dressings, instant taters, lard, peanut butter, fruit preserves, honey, candy, mayo, pickles, canned tomatoes, tomato paste, tortillas, pastas, soups, salt, ramen, Velveeta, and probably more I forgot about. The meat and butter is in the fridge/freezer. Tuna and canned chicken for long term happening is above the cabinets with canned corn, peas, green beans, luxury soups, more ramen, more Mac, more creamer. Tendies in the freezer with the monkey dicks.

There's enough to last at least 6 months for me and the old lady. And I am going to keep it that way. The canned chicken is actually decent for chicken salad sandwiches and I've make enchiladas that came out pretty good. I have a case of mayo packets too in case we lose refrigeration.

the rings are only used during canning. if you store them with rings on and they lose their seal they can reseal with the ring in place, but with no ring it's easy to identify a jar that has failed. canned properly the lids are on very tight and I usually have to use a spoon and my hand as a fulcrum to break the seal. either that or a can opener

Aldi is the best place to shop right now because there's not lines around the fuckin corner like at Walmart. Im boycotting that bitch until they reopen completely

I like Aldi, don't get me wrong. Much of their generic shit is top tier like their cheese-its. Their ground sirloin I prefer to Ingles and Walmart because it doesn't produce as much water when fried. I am convinced Ingles injects water into their shitty meat to Jew the consumer. They usually have a good price on blackberries, avocados, and Halo's too. And some of their cheese isn't bad. I have been buying their sliced Jalapeno Jack and Habanero Cheddar for burgers. Shits alright. Their mayo seems the same as Best Foods/Helmann's and they have the lowest price on milk and eggs. I think I paid $0.79 a dozen last week.
