Downgrade you mean, jollibee's pineapple juice is just fucking dole out the carton. What you need to do is go for the calamansi.

manila lumpia. big suckers. better than chinese eggroll for that reason. cant find a fucking photo. in cali you find them at seafood city. also, a chocolate tablet, that is pure cocoa, no sugar, so like mexican chocolate but sugar free. add your own sweet thing. i dont recall eating adobo chicken. those are the 2 things i like so far.

Flip spaghetti is unironically amazing, though. It's basically a sweeter, cheesier version of normal spaghetti. I guess that's the American side of us kicking in. I was raised on the stuff, and now normal spaghetti feels too spicy for me.

Filipino food is unironically one of the worst Asian cuisines. I don’t get why because other poor SEA countries have great food. Here it’s all about
>salt
>soy sauce, dipping sauce, fish sauce, liver sauce
>oil
>more sauce
>a shitload of sugar
>shitty meat cuts

Sinigang and kare-kare are great. Not the sweet versions though (same for anything, idk why our food is so damn sweet it’s disgusting).

It has the exact same ingredients as every other fried spring roll, how is it any different? It's hilarious that its peoples favorite flip food. Shows how shit the their food really is.

>> No.14058041

I had daing bangus for the first time last week and I really enjoyed that a lot. So I'll vote for that. Also had some gintaang crab once. The crab was shit chunks of 90% shell but the sauce and veggies around it was good. Also had that bitter melon ampalaya but didn't care for it very much.

It's not the ingredients as much as the method of cooking. They're very different than spring rolls.

>> No.14058069

When I was a little kid I was around a lot of folk from the UN and a Philipino's parents made some lumpia for us, I think that was in like 6th grade or so. They were great and they're very different from spring rolls. 100% different.

>> No.14058072

Lechon. Sometimes i also make fried rice with longanisa and eggs and that's pretty good. Might not be filipino food but then again it's rice + shitty meat so it probably is.
