Why do people like redbull so much? I had it on a couple of occasions and I just don't see it. It tastes fine but it's nothing special compared to other energy drinks, while being quite a bit more expensive than others. Is it really just brand recognition?

Redbull tastes better when you mix it with other drinks but I would say the blueberry, watermelon and i think the old cherry flavor they had were good by themselves. Their flavored drinks just taste like flavored soda and hides the battery acid flavor.
