It's actually a perfect marriage of what you want in your belly at when you are drunk and/or stoned...to feed you salt, fat and stodge and to satisfy your inebriated wandering attention by giving you new flavours constantly. You immediately snatch two onion rings as those are best eaten hot and arguably the king of any platter...you burn your mouth and swear then move on to the pakoras. They are the easy one to start with, the small animal in the herd left trailing behind..a fun appetiser, the zingy pakora sauce and the game of trying to figure out what filling this one and that one is giving you a cheap thrill..you reset your pallet with some salad and attack the main course of lovely salty greasy processed animal arsehole groundmeat product, stabbed with your chips and dipped in garlic sauce. You make one last go for the solitary onion ring left behind when you burnt your mouth in the beginning. Lukewarm, or even cold, starting to go saggy, it's like a cheap street hooker waiting for you. You know it and it knows it that you're not better than that, you're eating it and you're scooping the last bit of garlic sauce with it....sit back and finish your Irn Bru...it may taste like it will wash your mouth but it won't wash your soul.
