Personally I think they are resources and a food source to us, just like the food chain in the animal kingdom. But I also believe in fucking decency and respect. Put it out of its misery, respect the animal and make sure it doesnt suffer. Not only does this improve quality of meat but also is just respectful to nature and the animal.
