Based and pork pilled. My favorite bang for your buck cut is pork jowl (cheek). Similar to pork belly (already cheap) but even cheaper. Also trotters, eara, and organ meat are great too. Overall pork is just great

Neck bones stay around 89 cents a pound here and theres plenty of meat on them.

When pork steaks are cheap I like to get a bunch instead of the much more expensive beef that most people like. I use pork steaks for
>cubing and putting in stew or Japanese curry
>slicing thin and slanted and marinating in korean bbq, then broiling or grilling
>porkchops in a pan, sometimes almost braised with wine
>marinated in seasoning and citrus juice for a poor man's al pastor
How do you cook your economy steaks?

Pretty decent if used properly. Very versatile and tasty, although very fatty. That's the only drawback is it's very heavy and not always the best choice but there are leaner cuts of pork.

A pork steak is cut from the shoulder of a pig. A pork chop, like other meat chops, is a loin cut taken perpendicular to the spine of the pig and usually containing a rib or part of a vertebra. As a St. Louis anon I grew up on these.

Based. It's the easiest and best cut to fry and braise with. You just can't go wrong with it.

cubed pork shoulder is the most underrated thing to put into gumbo. If you're willing to take the time to braise it down to be tender it's literally fatty heaven in rich broth.

it is, too bad I can't find it anywhere.
all they have to do is not slice the bacon.
I even asked a butcher if he could sell me some and he said no.

Modern pork is so unnaturally fattened up with polyunsaturated seed oils that t literally changes the shape of your blood cells after you eat it for like 4 hrs

Moved to Virginia from St. Louis a couple years ago. There is no such thing as good BBQ here. Do not leave anon, don't do it.

I came back to St. Louis a few weeks ago specifically to get a Sugar Fire pulled pork sammich.

Based.
My goto dish is pork neck steak with mushrooms or roasted broccoli or root vegetables and a nice pan sauce. It's also great in stews and cheap as fuck.

I usually coat them in flour and cook them that way so the juices stay inside and you don't have a dry pork steak. Once they're done i put on some pepper, salt and little bit of citrus juice.
Keeping it really simple or you'll ruin the flavour in my opinion

Eating pork otherizes the Muslim and Jewish community and is despicable as trying to ban circumcision.

Antisemitic garbage. Pure shit. Delete this thread or I will contact the JIDF.
