what can I make with flour, sugar and water? no eggs or milk. I have a lot of vegetable oil too if that widens my options.

Also, how can I look up recipes that only have the ingredients I already have? if I search flour+water+sugar recipes, I only find over-complicated recipes with 5+ ingredients.

You can make gyoza with flour and water, or any other variation of dumplings for that matter.
You'll have to get creative on the filling though, if that's literally all you have.

This, throw some peanut butter in them if you got some when they are still hot.

You can mix the flour and vegetable oil together to make a dough. If you have a little baking powder too that'll be even better. You can make dumplings out of it!

You're going to need some fibre at some point. One great poverty dish from China my dad taught me is you make a soft but flexible dough (make it flexible by first adding almost-boiling water, then regular water, when making it), let it rest for about 30 mins then tear off pieces and thrown them into boiling water. There is probably a Western equivalent, its pretty much the most basic pasta/dumplings you can make. If you have any vegetables at all you can fry them and add them to the soup at the end.

Another thing you could try is making scallion pancakes, but without the scallions and adding sugar.
Or how about sourdough bread?

I was trying to remember the name of this, turns out it goes by Mee Hoon Kueh. You can just follow any recipe omitting the other ingredients.

There's some chapati, and the flaky croissant style "buss up shut (busted up shirt)" island versions of roti or Indian flatbreads you can make in your kitchen that really are quite fun to make. They rest a while in their little balls of dough, and just need a little prep. You can use oil OR butter, so oil is just fine.

To make the flaky layers of paratha roti technique, watch a video to see what they do instead of French booked dough.

You can make crepes, but you need oil or fat of some kind. If you have no fat, dairy, butter, oil, lard, then you fucked up and you should go get some.

Basically, 1cu flour, 1/2cu water, 1/4cu fat, 1/8cu sugar. Mix well but loosen with hot water until crepe batter consistency. Heat a nonstick pan, spoon in batter, rotate pan until batter covers bottom, then flip when browned. If you don’t understand this youtube it.

A classic poverty meal is to spread with peanut butter, jelly, or both, or honey, or maple syrup, then fold in half then into quarters. Four quarters = one plate. Good luck faggot and post pics.

If you have a leavening agent like salt or baking powder then there are plenty of simple frybreads and bannocks you can make
If you have yeast then you can make bread or toutons

I think there are some navajo flatbread recipes that only use flour, baking powder, salt, and water, then fried in vegetable oil. You could probably sub water into the ones that call for milk.
