Yeah I know they have their place, but if you learn to cook (more, better, faster, whichever) you'll need to rely on them much less.

Anyway, your question. For me #1 and #2 on the list would be salt and pepper, because virtually everything commercial is underseasoned for me now.

Beyond seasoning, the sky is the limit. Like when I do beans from a can at minimum I add 3 spices and 1 herb, plus more salt.
