I'm digging in to my great grandmother's classic Spanish rice recipe right now actually. 1 part Minute white rice to 1/2 part Pace mild salsa. Feelin feisty? Kick it up a notch with some canned pinto beans and a couple melted Kraft Singles

Ain't nothin better than some homestyle midwest cookin

They were a lot better when they were round, first they changed the crust to something a lot less flakey and after they squared them they somehow siphoned out all of the flavor. They taste like nothing now, the sauce has no flavor, the pepps have no flavor. I get sad every time I think about them, zoomers have no idea the magical times they missed out on in the 80's-90's. Everything was bigger cheaper and tastier. Now everything has to be mass produced by china and it all tastes like the same shit.

Never seen that either, I mean, not sold even as street food. It was always the the elote/tamale lady with the grocery cart. Yet I have made Chili nachos, using fritos. I always heard it was a Texas and New Mexico thing.

it's not paper it's a food safe cooking bag, and it's highly unlikely that brisket came directly off a smoker, although yes depending on the method the second half of a briskets cook time will be spent wrapped.

Yep. They're from the 1950s. I know this because I remember seeing a recipe for them from an old ass cookbook my grandma had. I also don't get the fuss over them when they're basically just nachos.
