If I could, I would make jerky or just freeze meat. Sadly my budget is still small so I have to settle with canned goods, an extra can opener, evaporated milk, and various odds and ends including refrigerated bread and boxes of cereal.

If shit really gets bad, then it is innawoods I go and reintegrate with the wildlife and eat some wild game animals preferably after using a copper bullet or an arrow.

If I can give you nibbss a tip- the big box stores were wiped out of beef, but even they still had chicken at one store, fish at the other.

The small country/local store still had stocked freezers of meat, plenty of eggs and milk etc. As if they didn't have a rush at all.

It's not hard to predict people would panic. I don't know why people think we're going to magically run out of food right now. The restaurant industry is shut down. There's a HUGE chunk of food source right there. The only reason stores are empty are retards panicking and distribution centers trying to fill those panic buys.

I live in good ol' West Virginia and the shelves here are always bare of milk, eggs and bread the day before a snowstorm. I'm assuming people who live in hurricane areas can tell you similar stuff. Panic buying ain't new, it's what people do in the face of disaster.

Not a carnivore but eat animal based.

I got whatever the hell to survive. I already had a freezer full of meat so we got a ton of butter and cream and eggs.

But since I'm not a vegan we also got crap we usually don't eat but if we run low on meat we got cheap fillers like flour, rice, oats, and beans to stretch it out.

Been making lots of vegetable ferments like pickles and sauerkraut.

We also made oatmeal in a more traditional way (aging it in water for 48 hours) and it really gets rid of that nasty cardboard oatmeal texture and helps stretch out our dairy.

Most importantly I have a bit over 20,000 kcal worth of organic lard and tallow. This will help us all the way through a worst case scenario.
