Unironically easier to read than the shitty digital menus of today.

They were in fact made out of chicken. They had white and dark meat in the, instead of chicken paste.

But the screen doesn't suddenly change the moment you spot something interesting and you don't get to wait a few minutes for that screen to return. How is that fun?

I actually appreciate transparency, thank you very much. Learn to evolve, gramps.

I like the self service screen because you can actually look at the damn menu in your own time. Plus it's super easy to personalise your order.

I wouldn't mind the big digital boards if they weren't fucking animated with full-screen ads that remove half the menu so you're just stuck around waiting like an idiot for the menu to come back. They introduced that shit to their drive-thru boards now with their now AI-backed digital signage. Fuck that shit.
The kiosks are pretty great, though. Feels nice to be able to take my time and check out the options.

>> No.13793459

>>13793368
This.
If they just showed the menu I would have no problem with it but the menu is only there about 75% of the time. It's obvious they just advertise the expensive items as well so you just buy that when you can't see anything else.

>> No.13793465

>>13793459
They did claim that their in-store ads improved sales by 3.5% when they were introduced, so they're probably not getting rid of them. Still, they already got me in the fucking door and now I have to deal with more ads?

>> No.13793666

>>13790774
I fucking hate the boards above the counter, I have pretty bad vision so seeing it is pretty hard, why aren't they at the side or near the back? Even beside being easier to see I'd imagine it would speed up ordering because people trying to figure what they want would be off to the side figuring it out instead of wasting time infront of the cashier.

>menu

who needs a menu when they're on their way to McDonalds, it's not like they're an actual restaurant, everyone already knows what they're getting at McDonalds and it's the same thing that they've been eating since they were 5 years old.

>>13793368
The first time I saw a McDonald's with a digital board, they weren't animated yet, but they had a screen specifically running a slideshow of the promotional material while the menu was fixed on the other screens. The issue is that not every place has enough space for that spare screen so they unified it but there has to be a better way.

A smaller menu (and probably no customisations) probably meant faster service
Now because picky mankids only want ketchup on their 15 different sanwhiches and just don’t want to pick off the ingredients they don’t like everyone has to wait behind picky manchild
