Now that the zombie hoards have died off a bit what are the reasonable anons grabbing from the half empty shelves?
I went out this morning and grabbed a couple packs of chimpkin thighs, 2 pounds ground beef, plenty of produce and some junk (shh dont tell anyone).
Still no TP but i should be ok until that blows over. I think we still have a day or two of hoarders taking it all. No hand sanitizer though. I hope i give a boomer a visit from corona chan

Hordes hit my store pretty good. I stocked up last week, I was just hoping to get some stuff for comfy cooking this weekend.

My best friend lives in Italy and said his store got hit pretty good at first but now it is stocked, so I think you are right that after people "stock" up everything will eventually come back.

...oh and TP and paper towels were still out. The lady in the elevator was telling me she wants paper towels to wipe up after the lysol... I had to break it to her that you are supposed to let that air dry. These people are too retarded to read the instructions apparently, not to mention that the virus is mostly getting transmitted through air not surfaces...

toilet paper is for patting your clean ass dry, not wiping shit off it. the best thing I brought home from thailand. the worst being a stomach bug that lasted 3 weeks after I got home and some shitty tattoos. also aids.

yeah and these are easy to install yourself. i don't really get the tp shortage anyways, i mean worst comes to worst you shower off. if things are so bad that you can't leave your house for long enough to need toilet paper that lasts for months, showering your ass is the least of the worries

Geez, that is truly wiped out. What time did you go today? Remember I suggested before it opened?

I just did my comfy cooking extra stuff run this morning...waited til 8am (1 hour after opening) because I hit the last local farmer's market in my Gulf coast town, and did my daily withdrawal limit on my ATM first... on the way to Publix.
I got 2 slabs of frozen st.louis ribs, a young turkey, jimmy dean BOGO, thick bacon, and smoked anduoille, to park in the freezer, and for the comfy...
fixins to make pineapple upside down cake tropical style (passion fruit-guava juice going into the batter, starfruit sliced on top). Got some spinach dip mix, green onions, water chestnuts, frozen spinach ingredients to go with the round boule I bought at the market.

I'll probably go hit the produce section. I assume canned stuff is all out and I'm making soup anyway so who cares

I was there right when it opened! Eventually this has to normalize because people can't horde for too long. My dad got some meat at Fresh Market but it was tough.

Fuuggggggg, I'm going to your house.

I'm just going to make something simple tonight because have a corona-movie date (calling her on the phone and we'll watch a movie together) since we can't travel now and she is with her family back in our hometown.

are you saying you don’t have at least $1000 worth of frozen hams, turkeys, chickens, pork loins, butts, ribs, roasts, and ground beef? I keep my freezer full even when there isn’t a shortage. Buy on sale. Ham at $1.79/lb in Canada? Might as well get 5.

n-no. I live in a tiny house. I'm basically at capacity now for frozen and refrigerated.

i was lucky enough to get diced tomatoes and tomato paste. I was going to try to make tomato sauce with the two. My plan is to blend the diced tomatoes with the liquid and add paste to desired viscosity. Would that work?

Also no gatorade. Plenty of power aid though.

Honestly you people laugh at toilet paper hoarders, but you really dont have enough toilet paper yourselves. The average person uses 1 roll per day. If you have a family of 4, that's 28 rolls a week. Over 100 a month. TP rolls will be worth their weight in gold in a few months, because everyone needs it.

I was able to get most of my usual stuff, but had to settle for a smaller canister of oats. Most canned items, rice/beans, and frozen food were out. I didn't pay any attention to meat since I have enough and thought the produce section had been hit pretty lightly. Laundry detergent was in very low stock but the poorfag unscented stuff I get must be unpopular because there was plenty left.

got some pasta, cheese, 10 lbs of chicken quarters (dirt cheap), bell peps, cilantro, serranos, a couple of beers. Gonna wait on my paycheck for a steak

Surprisingly no iceberg, couldn't find any. Not even remotely surprised people would raid TP, mik and bread but the rest of the store is perfectly fine. Is there some wives tale I'm not familiar of?

you don’t need much space for a small freezer. 7 cubic feet is perfect.

People panic buying are not sitting down and making a logical prep plan, they're just trying to calm their emotions by taking back "control" and doing something about the situation and what they see others doing. It's the same here every time there's a winter snowstorm on the way, people stock up like all they need is bread and milk sandwiches.
