Just installed a magnetic knife strip on my own!! I feel super accomplished that I didn't fuck up my wall or whatever.

Anyone else use these in your kitchen? Wayyyyy more convenient than a knife block even after less than a half day of use, it's like day and night.

I didn't tho??? I put two anchors in the drywall then screwed on the backing week plate, and then the magnet inside attached to the plate I screwed intonthe wall. No tape! Do you think it would still be holding up if I had used tape??? Silly goose

Dumb enough to not save time with self-tapping screws, apparently.

>> No.13758705

I received one as a gift but the magnets are too weak to actually hold a knife of any kind.

you can just buy one of these giant bar magnets that you stick on the side of your fridge or other large metal appliance. It's so easy even a retard like OP can do it.

It's a thin knife for chopping vegetables. The name literally means vegetable knife.
A cleaver is a thick knife for hacking bones apart and other tough butchering tasks.
This is the Chinese version of a cleaver.
