>looking for a cocktail tutorial video
>video is 18 minutes long

>le sassy editor claps back
>actual making of the drink takes less than 2 minutes

at least give the link so I can judge it myself

Unless you're trying to make a drink for a woman, why wold you even need to make a cocktail? Either drink it straight, or with a splash of whatever. Cocktails are sugar bombs that prolong the goal of drinking, which is getting drunk.

>but it's fun!
Fuck off.

Sounds like he's talking about How To Drink.
His whole schtick is that he delves into the history of a drink for a few minutes and then spends another few minutes tasting the drink and giving his personal impressions.

Cocktail Chemistry does it better without all the "oh so le funny" witty banter with his editor.

How To Drink is the worst offender but you the fact that you can't monetise Youtube videos shorter than 10 mins means that lots of other channels try to do the same thing.

There's still plenty of older videos from before people tried to make money on Youtube, even. Just use the filter to search for videos shorter than 5 minutes.
Or, y'know, google a print recipe.

>hey my FFM senpai!! So little Jaylen had the flu this past weekend
*scroll scroll*
>So the history of button mushrooms! In 1961, the Kroger Grocery Co. Started an ad campaign
*scroll scroll scroll*
>So my mother always said, never use canned stock when you can make your own!
*scroll to absolute bottom of this 4000 word ramble*
>Sauté mushrooms, simmer in stock, add creme and purée. Ok see you tomorrow FFM Nation! Remember to subscribe to the newsletter, RSS feed, YouTube channel...

it's the obvious solution but that's still a fuck on
>google the drink you want
>find the best reviewed option from the highlighted option
>they all seem shit so search the actual website results and pick the least shit sounding one
>open the page, and wait for the boomer-tier banners and shit to load
>"Hi! This site uses cookies to enhance your experience bla bla bla click here"
>scroll through some irrelevant story about how "I first learned to make this drink when I was bartending as a summer job bla bla bla"
>read the actual recipe and realise you don't have any chartruese or that pomegranate syrup shit anyway
add 3 minutes load time and a mb of mobile data if you're on an phone and decide to just have a neat quadruple scotch

>> No.13743321

if you want something "free" in current year, you have to sit through ads and other bullshit to increase monetization. or you can just download a cookbook.

Who the fuck wants to do cocktails but doesn't bother getting half the fucking ingredients required? At least start with lime juice and simple syrup and try out a variety of sours, then start dabbling by adding one ingredient bit by bit.

Also, there's not that many variations for cocktails. A lot of it is understanding not only the interplay of the ingredients that fit in the categories (sour, sweet - splits into two categories: liqueur and syrup, spirit, aromatized wine, bitter, weak - mostly ice, but also certain juices).
