Who else /natto/ here ?
Recently got into making natto for its supposed health benefits.
Somewhere along the lines, I started to be fond of its particular savory taste so much, that now I make it in huge batches to enjoy daily.
But since it's a soy-based product, I'm a little bit worried, that it can transform me into a low test beta cuck. Is it safe to eat fermented soy daily?

Yes, you should totally believe the insecure manchild propaganda about phytoestrogens.

I'm glad you used the actual term savoury instead of that "umami" nonsense

It took me a while to warm up to Natto. I've gotten used to it now and somewhat enjoy it, but I was absolutely revolted by it at first.

Couldn't get over the weird fermented coffee-like flavor. The texture of it was like canned beans covered in cum.

Japan loves that slimy texture.

i eat natto, but i realized, like with most foods, i only really like the sauce you put on it. i like the pickled plum natto because i like the plum. natto doesn't have a gross flavor like everyome says though, it's pretty neutral.

You should be okay if you have it like once a week. estrogen mimickers are a legitimate concern. Every day will effect you. Every week probably won't do so noticably.

Phytoestrogens from soy have no measurable effect on human bodies. Please cite a source if you would like to refute this.

If you don't think it's tasty I don't think it's worth the supposed health benefits. There are plenty of vegetables, legumes, fruits, soy products, dairy products, high protein meats that you could eat instead of natto.

Personally, I can handle it if it's out of the fridge and mixed with the little mustard packet that it generally comes with, but I just don't like the slimy texture of it. So why would I torture myself?

how are you supposed to store/heat this when you get a couple 3-packs from the store

i usually refrigerate one pack to eat over the next few days and freeze the rest, but i hate waiting for the frozen ones to thaw and microwaving the packs probably kills all the cultures

The TL;DR to this thing about soy toxins is that it's the worst in unfermented and better but not completely eliminated in fermented soy products. Natto is packed full of nutrients so densely that you can get away with literally eating just 6 beans a day to get the probably full health benefit.

If you're asian the soy toxin thing might not be so bad because your body can process it better.

As long as the temperature doesn't get too high, you won't kill all the bacteria, so you don't have to worry about that.
