I have family over and want to make stewed jerk pork like you would get at a lunch counter, but I can't find any good recipes online for it. I've done it before but forget how and don't want to fuck it up.

Here's my strategy-

Is there a better way to do it? Should I just scrap the plan entirely and roast the pork? Is there a better braised pork dish I can make? What should I serve it with? Pls advise

The issue isn't so much the jerk marinade as it is the cooking method. I'm wondering if I can make stewed pork with the marinade and not have it come out poorly.

I think I'm going to do half/half stewed pork and roast pork though; I have a big ass pork shoulder.

Recipe looks fine but I think pork shoulder is wasted on it.
It's pretty easy to do as a whole roast or pulled pork instead. I'd stew a cheaper tougher cut.
