I've lost 70 pounds on keto, mainly carnivore but I like avocado and a tomato every once in a while, and for me the reason it worked is it kills hunger cravings. For me, if there is carbs in my diet I behave as you said, uncontrollable hunger cravings and then I overeat, classic American. But once I said fuck it and cut carbs almost totally, the first 3 days were kind of rough but now I never feel hungry. The cookies that were the bane of my existence every trip to the grocery don't even phase me anymore. Honestly it's fucking great. I eat one meal a day and never feel cravings anymore. Unironically you should try it if you're struggling anons.

Well even if you chew something like bread it can start to get a hint of sweetness as the starches break down into simple sugars from the amylase in your saliva, maybe it just triggers an urge to binge on more refined sugar. The best way I've seen to do it is OMAD a cheat meal that's still below maintenance in calories for the day, or close to maintenance instead of the usual deficit you have. And then the very next day you're continuing with your normal plan. Never leave your fucking plan until you hit your goal, stay consistent.

I eat steak and beef liver pretty much every day. A lot of eggs. Chicken sometimes but it's not my favorite. Fish and pork. And like I said I enjoy some vegetables too. Just not carbs. Long term effects on the body are unknown but don't appear to be very dire.
