What is your absolute favorite cake?
For me it's either carrot cake or lemon cake. my grandma makes a fucking bomb lemon cake

Cake mostly sucks. It's either too cheap and light to taste like anything but sugar and bread, or so overly rich that I get sick of it after three bites. Every once in a blue moon though, I get a cake that actually manages to strike a balance and is great. Personally, I think chocolate cake with a good fruit layer in the middle is the most consistent winner.

Also, carrot cake is good but I prefer carrot bread; same taste, but without frosting to get in the way, plus usually a better texture too.
