Why don't cinemas do bigger pies? I can eat this in one bite before the trailers are finished.

because they don't want to keep spending money on creating bigger seats for fatasses like you, so they try to keep the calories down where possible.

Why do Americans feel the need to stuff their face at the cinema?

Why don’t you just have a nice sit down meal at a restaurant after the movie, where you can discuss with your friends/family what you thought of the film?

>> No.13641411

>>13641410
What a silly question.

Traditionally you have a fast meal before, a meal during, and a meal after the film.

I don't know why the hell those dine-in theaters are getting so popular. Then again, where the fuck do you really take a date nowadays if you don't feel like being creative?

A trendy cafe or bar near a museum for happy hour and then subsequently that museum and potentially dinner somewhere where you spend way too much on food for two people.

Then you sure as hell better make that clear to the person you're dating quick, because that could get annoying real fast. Unless you have absolutely no issue with your SO or friend group drinking around you, including not being annoyed about being left out when people are doing something you don't like to do.

i've never ordered weird food at a movie theater. just popcorn, candy and a sody pop. i can't imagine eating something like a pizza at a movie. the logistics of dipping pretzels in mustard or cracking crabs legs while trying to concentrate on the film just seems like too annoying for me to want to do. plus at least popcorn usually lasts me through the movie, i can't imagine the other stuff would.

>> No.13642073

>>13641402
I hadn't gone in a while and it's crazy how much food costs at theaters nowadays. A large popcorn, soda, nachos and two boxes of candy were over $40, and that was mostly just for me (popcorn shared obviously). Throw in the tickets and it's pretty ridiculous.

They make a large chunk of their profits off the concession stand, the margins on movie tickets are way slimmer than you'd think thanks to Hollywood Jews and their licensing fees
