Squirrel- Ok, not bad fried. Need like 20 for a meal though.

Reindeer- not very good, greasy chuck meat, tough lion steaks. Would not eat again.

i've made wild venison a few times and it's delicious as fuck. the loin cuts are on par with a good steak and i also made chili with ground venison that was also great. people who complain about it tasting "gamy" are faggots who cook it over medium rare. go bloody or go home.

Most dissapointing are insects, they taste like nothing and chitinous shells suck too. Traditional Czech zabijačka. If aliens came to earth... the first thing that came to my head... I've had reindeer fillet and it was lovely - like slightly less gamier, slightly more marbled deer. Wonder if it's heavily dependant on cut and preparation

Not bad at all, but I'd guess the taste is related to where you shoot the varmint. Near a city, probably taste like trash. Out in the woods, probably better. I've shot a bunch, mostly in the northwoods of Minnesota. I usually broil them with some herbs and salt. To be completely cliche, they taste like chicken.
