It's less effort to leave things alone rather than shouting from the street corners that that not-duck isn't really a duck. Yes it is. It's the manifestation of the innate tendencies of your neural makeup. Women act one way, men act another way. It's a two bell curves skewed towards either side of the x axis. Being a butch girl doesn't make you a man, even if it strays into the male-behavior curve. But wanting to be a man for a non-sexual reason pushes your ground state into "effectively male", meaning if you do your best to look and act like it, it's just easier to treat you as a male. Same for mtfs. If they try, display the right behavior, and there isn't a fetishistic aspect, then it's just easier not to waste your time and effort fighting against a person's fundamental makeup. You can take away the whole rest of the body, literally all that matters is the brain. Sadly, there are lots of those fakers and kool-aid drinkers who think their fetish is the same as someone else's neurological makeup, and they ruin it for the rest of us.

With current levels of technology, the mind is generally more pliable than technology, especially when dealing with kids.

So we can enable weak/naive people into ruin, or we can try to guide them along a happier more long lived path. Is there a small subset of those people which would actually be helped by enabling them? Probably. Is that a reason to do it? Not currently.

Once we get to the level of tech we can turn people into fully fertile members of whatever sex they want and reverse the process, everyone can go wild. Until then think of the children and don't steer them towards very unhealthy body modding.
