Whenever I don't know what to eat (which is always) mac n cheese is my go-to. I never seem to tire of it, like I do of virtually all other food. All you need to spice it up is to cut up a hot dog and throw it in there. Sometimes bacon. But the best mac and cheese is with caramelized onions and lightly seared mushrooms. It is so versatile it literally doesn't need to be pleb food

If we're going to get decadent with it, cooking asparagus in pancetta as a side to a full mac n cheese bake is about as great as that can get. I just usually go with basic broc because meals that large mean family and family means children.
