Consume less calories than your body burns. It's fucking simple math. It doesn't matter what you eat, just watch calories. Though of course, if you also want to be healthy, do care about waht you eat.

The easiest way to not overeat is to not buy prepared foods. Don't get things that you can just grab and start eating. It you have actually stand in the kitchen for 5 minutes to make some food you're less likely to binge eat when you're not hungry by simply craving something.
