Millennials are having a hard time surviving in the job market and are seeing marriage as a risk, and children even more so. Depending on definition, they can be anywhere from mid 20's to 30's, and are fucked by loans everywhere and no room for career advancement. Seems like it would be a decent novelty for oil rig workers and such. When they resupply those things, they often bring in luxury ingredients because the cost of goods is nothing compared to getting it there.

Getting a toy around that only needs shelf-stable ingredients to create decorative and even festive edibles to incentive skilled laborers seems like a good idea.

I've been waiting for this technology for a few years now just because I like making novelty candies and chocolates. I'm not sure it has any uses beyond that though. It'll certainly never be a common appliance, you'd have to use it all the time to make it cheaper than just casting/molding.

When we're replicating food on an atomic level then we'll be discussing what model of elf is most enjoyable to rape. I own a 3d printer and if this functions in any way similarly to it, then the applications of this will be incredibly limited because 3d printing is very, very slow. There's a reason why everything in that concept picture you posted is tiny. Printing everything in that glass most likely took all day.
