They extensively train their managers, much more than other fast food chains, so that they are better prepared for mishaps. Also, in order to run a franchise, you can't own any other business venture. Their owner-managers only operate ONE store, there is no such thing as owning multiple chick fil as. They also have more compassion for their employees than other chains, it's built into the culture, which translates into better customer service

Their managers have minimal (tiny) investments and a nice opportunity to run it right and make good profit, else, have it go back to corporate. It's always going to be run well, consequently.
They form community partnerships, so have nice people there supporting them, and vice versa. Teams, charities, schools, churches, things like that.
They get normal/decent people who work there because there are no weird shifts that steals time from family time on Sundays. No overnight split shifts or bad hours that decent people wouldn't put up with. Normal schedules, not transient workers with frequent turnover, but people happy to be there.
Everything is pretty simple on the menu, so I'm sure that helps.

This is probably it. As a worker at the bottom of the food chain, the managers really make your experience working there and how the store operates as a whole. I worked in another food establishment with really shitty and poorly trained management and everyone was miserable as fuck, including the customers.

They're a business but haven't sold out to shareholder profits. Not being owned by greedy corporate overlords, the focus is instead on providing superior product/services instead of cost-cutting measures and revenue pumping. Product is focused and has been refined to a high quality for taste and consistency. Staff members are trained to be courteous with similar levels of consistency. Consequently, customers have recognized said superior service standards and the increase in revenue comes anyway as more customers switch away from the conventional fast food chains. There was nothing stopping other chains from doing this, they just chose not to as it would add to business costs.

the CFA by me used to me almost always white, and the few blacks there were domesticated and very friendly.

Now they're just Asians and mutts. Not really rude, but not super nice either. They don't say Yes Sir No Sir like they used to, you can tell they are very bored with their jobs. I think CFA must have lost a lawsuit and been forced to hire everyone not just cream of the crop
