bros i had been following the panettone threads through the season, seasonal cakes interest me, and was too much of a fuckhead to roll the dice on a $20 one from rouses, mostly because i was just running inside to but vodka and bread and forgot my intentions of fruit cakes

ff a week and i'm back in there drunk staring at the discounted ones, too many bramds and varieties and no threads up pointing to best brands, i said fuck it and head to checkout with bread and vodka and see the shitty baudaccio (?) yellow box one that is in the int sexion year round and say hah ha fuck it, $5 let's see

IT WAS FUCKING TERRIBLE some anon on here was loving it when the threads were up so i figured i'd be a bum and try it....its gross. oily, stings the throat in that weird way that mass produced corner store cakes do. dont buy cheap panettone guys i'll buy a stale one for $12 next time. always next year i guess

Buy the one in the OP, it’s still on sale among other goods.
I read that Bauducco panettone apparently is inconsistent according to customer comments on websites (so you never know if they’re fake or what), someone gets it stale and shitty while other people have a good one.
All my panettone this year have been good except one who was well made but tasted like ass because they added orange aroma in the dough and I FUCKING HATE ORANGE...
