Why do people become vegans? Is it a mental illness?

Complete proteins (protein sources with every amino acid needed by the body) are essential to our diet, and so is vitamin B12, and the best sources of both these things are meat, eggs, and dairy products.

>BUT THERE ARE COMPLETE PLANT-BASED PROTEINS LIKE QUINOA AND SOYBEANS
Quinoa has an absolutely tiny amount of protein compared to the fuckton of carbs it has. So no, fuck off. I want lean protein which is why I eat meat and eggs. Soybeans are shit and apparently have oestrogen, fuck that. Tofu also has less than a third as much protein per gram as chicken breast.
>BUT YOU CAN GET VITAMIN B12 FROM SUPPLEMENTS
Or I can get it from animal flesh like my body has evolved to do.
>BUT EVEN THE B12 IN ANIMALS IS FROM SUPPLEMENTS
Literal bollocks, they get it from bacteria and they store it in their muscles, which we eat.
>BUT HUMANS AREN'T MEANT TO EAT MEAT WHICH IS WHY WE HAVE SMALL CARNIVORE TEETH
This is incorrect. Small teeth in humans are because we made tools and started cooking our food, which we've been doing for a very long time now. And an omnivorous diet is not only something that humans have had for thousands of years, or even hundreds of thousands of years - it's also a diet that is shared by the rest of the hominidae, like chimpanzees. They eat certain monkeys on occasion. Apparently in peak hunting season, a chimpanzee will eat about 65 grams of meat a day, on average. Many other mammals are also omnivores, like pigs and bears. And pigs, while obviously being nowhere near as closely related to us as chimpanzees, are still so similar to humans in some ways that they are often used for medical teaching and testing. Medical students use pigs' trotters to practice suturing / stitching because their skin is rather similar to ours.

In conclusion: are vegans mentally deranged? I guess the B12 deficiency has fried their brains, as B12 deficiency is known to do.

Shit bait. Go to bed. Tomorrow when you wake up, seriously reasses your life. Consider the fact that you are wasting it posting garbage like this thread. Find something to love instead of hate.

You can get as butthurt as you like vegans, but it won't change facts.

Because an industry that inflicts Dante's Inferno tier suffering on stupid creatures who have the misfortune of merely being born is evil and nigger tier, simple as. You are no better than Chinks who cook dogs alive, just because you're a few steps removed from the process doesn't mean you're not still a faggot.

That said, I have dropped veganism for my own tl;dr reasons, you should at least support laws to change the current state of things though.

Because everyone loves a diet that allows them to pretend that they are healthy while stuffing their face with Oreos and drinking down beer.

Ethics.

Science makes nature our bitch, we don't need to live natural. Nature isn't good, nature is a horrific amalgam of suffering most of which we should eliminate. We need to eliminate all hunters and parasites eventually ... stopping at human meat eaters would be cowardly.

Fuck nature.

Good thing you can get former from quinoa, soy, lentils and chickpeas and the former from enriched food and supplements.
>SUPPLEMENTS BAD
The animals you eat to get B12 got it due to cobalt supplements as well.
